Housewarming Kits are given to participants in our programs who are moving into housing, such as our Recovery Residences.
Please fill a laundry basket with the following items: Small laundry detergent, toilet paper, paper towels, disenfectant wipes, small bottle of dish soap and sponge, twin XL sheets and comforter, pillow, towel and washcloth, $6 in quarters, and an encouragement card!
Once assembled, please drop off the housewarming kits at the CARITAS Center (2220 Stockton Street, Richmond, VA 23224) between 11:00 AM and 3:00 PM, Monday–Friday.
This opportunity is completed off-site, and volunteers are responsible for assembling and delivering the cleaning kits to the CARITAS Center. Each kit counts for 1 hour of community service.
